I don’t doubt your qualifications, Albert, but the law is very clear about the proper age for soldiering, and your father’s done what he had to do. You know that. Thirty guineas isn’t nearly enough to purchase a horse as fine as your Joey, I know that. But it’s all I’ve got. Will you lease him to me, Albert, to be my own mount?
I promise you, man to man, that I’ll look after him as closely as you’ve done, I’ll respect him and all the care that you’ve taken with him. And if I can - I’ll return him to your care.
so The Deep Blue Sea (2011) ft. Tom Hiddleston was actually quite interesting. if you’re into the whole tragic British drama kind of thing, it’s worth a watch. if you have nothing to do over the summer (like me OTL) then you should spend 1.5 hrs watching this movie. Takes place in late 40s-50s, after WWII of course, which is where Hiddleston comes in as an airforce pilot who survived WWII.
For the Hiddles fans: Tom Hiddleston does a lot of angry drama, and does a sensual scene (which is nice MUAHAHAHAHAHA); he’s really just a great actor for emotional parts, and this is just another example of his skill. The ending for me kind of lingers in the mind….like you wished something else had happened but meh it’s okay. idk he’s kinda hot when he’s yelling and frustrated. but it just goes to show how disturbed and disturbing his character is.
i also suggest Thor. and The Avengers. Hiddles acting ftw.
Archipelago ft. Tom Hiddleston was rather dull but it had its kind of charm….although it’s one of those indie-like movies that is supposed to go through the life of an upper middle class family that have an internal familial struggle of some sort…i watched it over a span of 3 hours (it’s a 1 hour movie) due to my family coming over for holiday. for most common movie watchers: don’t watch it. it’ll be waaay too long to get to the plot (you may even think there isn’t one). for the more complex movie watchers: have a go at it if you have nothing to do. it doesn’t show a lot of Hiddle’s best side of acting but he is featured throughout the movie. This movie was made 2 weeks after Hiddles got out of his drama school, so you can see his early acting here.
War Horse only featured Hiddles for the beginning, but he gave so much into his part its the only thing that lingered in my mind throughout the whole movie. The film itself had a lot of tragedy. But Hiddles as Capt. Nicholls really struck home. RIGHT IN THE FEELS. go watch it. about 2.5 hrs.
I really want to watch his Othello performance….anyone know where i can see that?
What? Did you think a garrison would be undefended? Look at yourself! Who do you think you are?
This gif is spot on. My hands. Over my face. For the next twenty minutes. Was he really dead? I waited for him to come back…because, hey! It’s the movies!
